Erin Griffin is an enrolled member of the Sisseton-Wahpeton Oyate from the Westerman family. She is currently the Director of Dakota Studies at Sisseton Wahpeton College where she has worked since 2013. She has an MA in Sociocultural Anthropology from the University of Oklahoma.
Erin’s interests are encompassed within language, history, and traditional arts. In addition to her academic and teaching background, Erin is also an established beadwork and quillwork artist who has placed in art competitions, had work displayed on exhibit, and has two pieces in the permanent collections of the Minnesota Historical Society.
