I’m Lauren Estelle LeBeau and I am the Executive Administrative Assistant to the President and Vice President of Sisseton Wahpeton College. I’m married to Ron LeBeau and I have had 4 children. Chasity, Cole, Christina and Connor. I have two beautiful granddaughters, Jade and Sophie. I’m an artist, a poet, a short story writer, I love to sing in my Native Dakota and live and practice the Dakota Traditional Values.
My education consists of an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Law Enforcement Technology from Western Dakota Technical Institute in Rapid City. I’ve completed the Project Peacemaker Program in Paralegal Studies from Turtle Mountain Community College in Belcourt North Dakota. I have studied Criminal Justice at Mount Marty College in Watertown SD and have taken Dakota Studies at Sisseton Wahpeton College in Sisseton SD.
I have worked for the State of South Dakota in Corrections, the Unified Judicial System Clerk of Courts in Custer County, Hamlin County and Codington County. I was the Vice Chairwoman for the Sisseton Wahpeton Oyate’s Judicial Committee in years passed and was an Associate Manager in one of the Sisseton Wahpeton Oyate’s Gaming Casino’s, Dakota Sioux Casino in Watertown SD. My education has taken me to amazing experiences and I’ve enjoyed many privileged careers along the way as you may see.
I have a strong educational and work ethic in which I have taught my own children to pursue their dreams in education and career choices. I also passed that ethic on to the hundreds of individuals I have mentored along my journey here on the Sisseton Wahpeton Oyate Lake Traverse Reservation.
